YOUR CAREER,
YOUR NEXT MOVE

with an expert in your corner.

One-on-one advice and guidance from an executive recruiter who knows exactly what it takes to get you noticed, considered and heard — whether you’re aiming for your next promotion or your next employer.

No obligation. No cost.

Maybe you’re aiming for the next role at your own company. Maybe you’re ready for something new elsewhere. Either way, the same clarity, positioning and confidence get you there.

Across all three steps, you'll get more than encouragement

You’ll get insider knowledge from someone who’s sat on both sides of the hiring table, and direct, honest feedback that sharpens exactly how you come across.

Be Clear

Be Clear

Let's get clear on your direction. Together, we'll audit your strengths, identify the gaps between where you are and where you want to be, and build a bold, achievable career roadmap — with a crystal-clear path and actionable next steps, whether you're climbing further where you are, or plotting a move elsewhere.

Be Seen

Be Seen

Get noticed by the people who matter — your leadership, your network, or the market. I'll show you what actually gets attention, then help you reposition yourself — from the story you tell in the room to how you show up on paper and online.

Be Heard

Be Heard

Convey your value with confidence. Learn what recruiters and interview panels actually respond to — whether that's an interview, a promotion discussion, or a performance review — so you walk in ready, prepared and sure of yourself.
“Being brilliant at your job isn’t the same as being able to show it.”
WHY WORK WITH MARGIEN

Both sides of the table.

I’ve spent my career on both sides of the table — as a senior executive inside international organisations, and as an executive recruiter helping those same companies find their next leaders. That dual view taught me something most career advice misses.

Over the years I’ve guided people from CEOs to first-time job seekers through their next move, across countries and industries. What drives me is watching someone go from overlooked to unmissable — because I’ve seen it happen too often the other way round: genuinely excellent people passed over, not for lack of ability, but because they couldn’t sell themselves, lacked the confidence to claim their worth, or struggled to put it into words clearly.

That’s the gap Career Boost closes. I bring the insider’s view of what actually gets someone noticed, hired and promoted — and the straight-talking guidance to help you close that gap, wherever you’re headed next.

What people say afterwards

Questions people ask first

How do the sessions work?

Every session is an hour long, held online, with a clear focus for that session — and you’ll leave with homework to put it into practice before we meet again.

It’s a free, no-obligation session where we work out exactly what kind of support will help you most. Afterwards, I’ll recommend how many sessions to book and what it’ll cost, so you can decide whether to go ahead. Only once you’ve said yes do we start the real work together — and that first proper session is designed to get you some early quick wins.

There’s no set price. After your free introductory session, I’ll recommend the right number of sessions for your goals and give you a clear cost upfront, before you commit to anything.

There’s no fixed number — after your free introductory session, I’ll recommend the shortest path from where you are to where you want to be. Some people just need an outside perspective and help sharpening a specific skill; others need more time and support to reach their goal.

It depends entirely on you — the process can be short or long, depending on what you need. You’ll have a clear sense of the likely timeline after your free introductory session.

I use the same methodology throughout — Be Clear, Be Seen, Be Heard — but we focus on whichever parts matter most for you. You don’t need to work through all three in full if you don’t need to.

I work entirely online, so location isn’t a barrier — I support clients across geographies and time zones.

Not at all. Career Boost works just as well if you’re aiming for your next role internally — the clarity, positioning and confidence you need are the same either way.
